This year, our Manaiakalani Film Festival movie is called “Cool Kids” and it is our acapella version of the song. Everything you hear when watching was created and recorded by students in our class while we were studying music as part of our Art term earlier this year. Last week, the students of Team 3 had a very fun day while at school. We had some yummy popcorn, wore our pyjamas, and watched a funny movie in the morning. During the middle block, we did some dancing and painting and after lunch we had fun singing some of our favourite songs.
During term 2, we were learning about Computational Thinking and in our literacy class we were learning about pirates. We discovered that pirates had to do a lot of computational thinking (without computers!) in order to create and follow their treasure maps. When we arrived at school today, the teachers of Team 3 had a special surprise for us! We were having an “Encanto Day.” Our teachers were all dressed up like the characters from the movie and we had lots of fun expereiences all day long.
